Sorry, I thought this was a pub guide... This used to be a pub - The Cats Whiskers, turning into The Office, going gay for a while before coming out as the town's first "Indian Tapas" establishment. Takes all sorts I suppose. Bright, clean and reasonable enough - although numbers have gone down alarmingly, there are better Indian restaurants in town. Not somewhere you'd really want to go for for a drink.... although they do have Sky Sports (if you're looking for that in a pub/curry house). Dean_Pritchard - 15 Aug 2006 10:41 |
worth checking out, if you fancy some indian food cooked in a way that isn't 'typical' indian restaurant stuff, then this is the place to go. ssrai - 5 Aug 2006 16:37 |
As a Lutonian who has been living and working in Dubai for the past six years this place was a breath of fresh air on my annual trip back home. Having gotten used to Dubai service standards and food quality I was totally impressed with Papa J's - the food, drink and service are all top quality and could easily compete with any bar/resturant in any major city. The idea of Indian Tapas is excellent and I hope the owners open up something in Dubai next! Norm_uk - 25 Apr 2006 12:13 |
You wouldn't o go to this Bar without trying the food, i have never seen Indian Tapas before and i just want to keep coming back. The wine selection is average but a nice selection, the beer is the normal Lagers and selection of Indain beers. The service and staff are excellant. Bema - 10 Feb 2006 10:45 |
