| This place has been completely refurbished. The staff are friendly and the bar is modern and comfortable with an open fire in the winter. If anything the TV is a bit obtrusive but it can always be turned off. Drink selection is good, the lunchtime bar food is excellent and I have reports that the evening meal is every bit as good. | A Cold place for a welcome..I has the misfortune to be in on a Friday night when there was a "happy hour" with a free ticket with every pint--6 tickets =1 free pint!!
