| Extremely busy with families on early Saturday evening. We grabbed some of the few bar stools and watched the Olympics whilst enjoying the Bass which was in good order. Bombardier also available. Aimed more at diners I think. paul_d102 - 6 Aug 2012 14:49 |
| After trying the much busier L'Auberge du Nord a short distance away, we arrived at Les Fontaines to an empty pub with the Irish staff cleaning up. Nevertheless, they still served us. Bass & Bombardier were the only 2 ales available. Stone walls and wooden beams create an authentic atmosphere. The doorways are extremely low. So mind your head. | Try also The Farm House (L'Auberge du Nord) just down the road near St.Johns village. Ringwood Best Bitter on draught; good food and a lovely old building which has been pleasantly modernised. Part of the Boat House group who have four pubs on the island. mcroyal - 26 May 2011 13:19 |
