| The only pub on Tresco. Serving a variety of real ales. I had the IPA from the Harbour Brewing Co. - a Cornish craft beer. 5% but very pleasant and floral. £4 so not too bad considering where you are and in comparison to other island pubs. The Missus had a glass of the Tresco prosecco at £5.50. Nice beer garden which is sheltered. The interior was what a proper pub should be. Worth a visit. d.franks - 4 Sep 2015 16:28 |
| I was thoroughly expecting prices to be steep on Tresco but was pleasantly surprised - just behind the quay and with Ales of Scilly and St Austell beers, this proved to be a good bustling bar which did not misuse its relative monopoly. Arctium_lappa - 17 Feb 2013 22:31 |
| Great pub on Tresco with reasonable prices and good beer. Nice decor and pool table inside but the best place here was the sun-kissed garden. Didn�t eat, but the food we saw looked delicious. BiffoBeer - 24 Sep 2010 15:19 |
| The Ales of Scilly Scuppered was ok - nothing special. I don't eat burgers but couldn't resist the beef burger I saw being served to someone else. It turned out to be even better than it looked but then it should have been at �10!! Tresco or Tescos as we call it, is a rather beautiful island, rugged at the northern end and green and lush at the other. It is spoilt by some sort of strict commercial control that gives you the feeling that it exists only to tip you up and empty your pockets - the New Inn is obviously part of that process.
