Popped in whilst on a scenic diversion from our route along the NC500. Lovely food and an enjoyable couple of well-kept pints of An Teallach Bein Dearg.

"...couple of paninis, one chicken and bacon and the the other roasted peppers, sun dried tomatos and cheese"! What about the bloody beer(intheevening)??
Excellent couple of pints of An Teallach Brewhouse Special in a stunning setting overlooking the loch. Orkney Raven also on tap.

On 30th April, a stunning beautiful day, we visited this picturesque Inn for what turned into a complete and utter disaster. The place could not cope with the number of people who descended on it. Waiting for a drink or to order some food took a good twenty minutes, only for the bar tender to not have a clue as to what they had left (especially if it was burger related). We opted to keep it simple, a couple of paninis, one chicken and bacon and the the other roasted peppers, sun dried tomatos and cheese. After a good hours wait, nothing had arrived. When enquiries were made the flip answer was that the order had been given to another party and they would resubmit the order, no apologies, just tough luck. After another half hour two dried out pressed pieces of ciabatta arrived. As to fillings, well forget it! No bacon on the chicken and bacon one and you would need a microscope to see the small piece of chicken in it either. As to the roast vegetable one, there was one small piece of pepper, no cheese and a small spread of ketchup which passed for sun dried tomatoes. As far top marks for a combination of incompetience, miserable food and lack of customer service were concerned, The Badachro Inn was it for us during our stay in the Highlands. If ever there was a place set up to rip off the visitors, The Badachro Inn was it!

Visited this pub twice within the same week. Deuchers IPA was good and the Caledonian 80/- even better. This place is a gem and our party (after visiting a number of pubs in the area during the course of the week) agreed that it was the best by far: beer at the right temperature and excellent food served either in a cosy bar of from the adjacent dining room which has a delightful view over the bay. Friendly and enthusiastic staff. Highly recommended.

An oasis worth seeking out in a gorgeously beautiful part of the country. inside the pub is comfy and old, adjoined to it is a roofed, glazed seating area should you need to shelter from the weather, but outside is a decking area. Both the decking area and the glazed area afford great views across the Loch.
As stated by other visitors the beer/drink choice is ample and the food menu makes you salivate before you order.
We only visited for a light lunch, when breaded Camambert was one choice and a wild Salmon salad the other. Both were delighful, full of flavour and served with a perfectly dressed salad and fresh bread rolls and some unsalted butter. All of it was scrummy.
if your in the area of Gairloch, Poolewe, Badachro or just the North West Highlands - this has to be on your route.
