| The Houmet Tavern has a fine location overlooking the coast and a cove. The interior seemed more like a restaurant than a pub. But I believe there is a public bar too. We arrived just as they were about to stop serving food at 2pm and they were keen to tell us we were too late. But luckily we just wanted a drink. Guernsey is pricy. But this was above average. | I can't get excited about Greene King IPA, so I opted for the pleasure of a bottled beer. The front bar is decorated in Modern Dull but has tremendous views across Le Grand Havre. Location is all. ashmather - 28 Aug 2011 19:45 |
| Nice pub, food is nice although the menu is lacking some excitement and variety. It is usually fairly busy which must say something positive! Fab location, especially if you can get in the window area, can look right out over Grand Havre Bay! Beanii - 5 Jul 2011 22:54 |
