Probably gone as being a pub again.

Food not that great- can really tell that the burgers and chips are the cheapest you can buy and are frozen then deep fried. The Landlady has a bit of an attitude when I complained about the food- can't say i enjoyed the visit.

Andy and Bev Knapper run The Smithfield Pub and they have for just over 12 months. I suggest that you revisit the pub to upgrade their score - they serve Sunday Lunches second to none and at the best prices around. The atmosphere is fantastic, beer brilliant and the people are so very friendly. It has to be the best pub in Blythe Bridge and possibly in Staffordshire.

Changes manager every other week so never know if its open or not.
Good if your trains late or cancelled (as often happens) as its about 50 yards from Blythe Bridge station and from several such experiences you have enough time to sink your pint and stll catch your train as you see or hear the level crossings drop!
