I used to quite like la vue when it first opened, but having not been in there for a while i went in for lunch with some friends the other day i was shocked. The staff were rude and made it seem like it was a huge effort for them to pour a few drinks. Obviously i annoyed them by interrupting the chatter about last nights eastenders. This was topped off by the vast change in quality of food since last year. For 7 i got a measly little plate of frozen calamari with a small pot of salsa which tasted like watery chopped tomatos and tabasco. I wont be wasting my time or money here again! well what a refreshing place! Folkestone has always been a little behind in the time and "la vue" brings it into swing with the rest of the world! in response to the other comments i think the "big guy" is the boss and. very nice atmosphere and relaxing. food outta this world! well done la vue. anonymous - 2 Nov 2005 13:25 |
Been a couple of times now with a few friends, certainly not a wine bar more a stop off for Pipers. Bar staff a bit slow not even knowing what a Cuban is!! (Big guy think he was the boss sorted it out though.) My girl friend went there last Saturday and the toilets looked more like Boots the Chemist anonymous - 19 Jan 2005 15:49 |
Very nice, sets a new standard for bars in the area (previously set by The Office), but more of a wine bar than a pub. pauly - 19 Nov 2004 17:34 |
