called the cork and bottle, had no real ale on,even though supposed to be September beer festival month.thatchers gold for me.was only about 6 customers in,then a few more shouty types turned up which was time for me to leave.warning if you have a fear of spiders don't use the gents, bit off putting when you are having a slash and a giant cobweb with spiders sit a few feet above the urinals. hoppyal - 20 Sep 2014 21:41 |
Now called the Cork and Bottle. From the outside it is a pretty smart looking place and inside it is a spacious pub with plenty of different seating areas. The drinks are the cheapest in the town even cheaper than Wetherspoons over the road. We paid £2:10 for a pint of Fosters and a 250ml glass of white wine was £2:90!. It does however enivitably attract some pretty rough sorts in here but we never saw any trouble. 8/10 montie49 - 19 May 2013 13:54 |
Recently re-furbished and under new ownership. Bright, clean and now serving good food, tea and coffe as well as a broad range of alcoholic drinks in a relaxed, clean, comfortable atmosphere. Live entertainment several nights a month plus UK Karaoke every thursday night with the chance to win free beer. deejdave - 24 Apr 2007 19:21 |
