This bar is opposite The Manchester Academy and was rammed before the gig on Monday. Had a couple of pints of Deuchars IPA which were good. Had to sit outside and watch the busy Oxford Road go by! Overall OK for a pre-gig pint. DoctorBarfly - 29 Nov 2014 14:15 |
Real ale range isn't great, but at least they do a couple, Deuchars was OK. Opposite the Academy oftenscore6 - 16 Apr 2012 01:32 |
Good selection of beer, but it is ian absolute rip off. I went in there recently and couldn't hear myself think in the back garden because some muppet was blaring out incredably loud noise from a sound system. And this was at 3 in the afternoon on a sunday! I doubt I'll be going back soon - try Sandbar! bensonby - 29 Aug 2007 13:32 |

Used to be a regular (daily basis) for a couple of years but wouldn't be seen dead in the place now. The owners seem content to let the place rot and, given a guaranteed trade of uncritical students, use the place as a cash cow to finance other ventures. The food's gone way downhill, the bitter's usually undrinkable as most drink lager or bloody coffee and you're looking at 3 notes for a pint of the lager. A plus is the staff are usually excellent. anonymous - 3 Dec 2006 09:50 |
