Oh Dear! This place used to be THE venue in Ashby a few years ago. Thursday nights, pound a pint, were rammed with reasonably normal people. Now it is usually filled with the kind of scum who sit in the pub all weekend, leaving only to go to the bookmakers or down the nearby alley to Tasha's "massage" parlour. You know the types, they seem to speak a completely different language. "Hello are you alright?" becomes "hee, areet?" I mean seriously, this is not the kind of place I would bring my children (if I had any) - but people do! Krazy_Kid - 14 Mar 2008 10:32 |
Good variety of food on offer, pleasent surroundings. At the momsnt is struggling a little to get busy as has changed owners once or twice recently. Seems to be catering for the more mature person and seems to have lost it's reasons for visiting when on a pub crawl - unfortunatly pub can be very very emtpy now on Friday/Saturday night. Do take a look in though as it's atmosphere will probably continue to build with time anonymous - 8 Sep 2005 11:28 |
New years eve at this place was brilliant because all the music they played was 70's. Another bonus to this was that the staff had dressed up and they looked excelent markhex85uk - 13 Jan 2005 09:14 |

A lovely pub serving great ales. Top notch atmosphere with slightly odd but frightfully convivial landlord. Highly recommended. chris - 31 Jan 2004 21:13 |
