| Noted that the last review is some three years ago.... Way cleaner and way nicer than it used to be, still very much a locals pub but now trouble free, which is a credit to the Indian guys who are now running it. The beer is well looked after, Directors or Hobgoblin are the best choices and a Symonds cider tap too! The curry menu has now been extended, the food being of really good quality and at a reasonable price. As a previous poster noted, the chilli wang wangs are nice (hot wings) but you get 10 for a starter, best to share! Also, the starters do have have a habit of arriving with the main courses, but hey, it's a pub not a proper indian restaurant, bit the food is as good as a restaurant! | I'd like to adjust my rating, having got to know the staff etc, it's actually not a bad pub. Yes it's for locals and it can on the odd occasion kick off but not as often as it used to. Becks Blue is no longer served, in fact no alcohol free lager any more which is a shame. Only 1 pool table now, Dart Board but not seen a quiz night in there for a while. | Karaoke every other Saturday night the only redeeming feature. Becks Alcohol Free the same price as a regular Becks put me off straight away. Dirty looking pub and can be trouble, although their Curry's are quite nice. elmokersley - 16 Jul 2010 13:27 |
