Very convenient for the ferry so worth a visit. Friendly staff, above average food without being spectacularly good, the Red Cuillin on tap was very tasty steve_on_tour - 4 Jul 2008 13:34 |
Enjoyed this establishment. The food was average but the staff very accommodating and made our visit for a bar supper pleasant. Not over to top but a perhaps a bit on the pricey side. Would I go back - probably. gavmel - 25 Jan 2008 10:32 |
Stopped there on the 28th. January for a meal. Stone cold plates and steaks requested as "as rare as possible" served overcooked...really overcooked. Reaction on complaining? A shrug of the shoulders. sagart - 29 Jan 2007 22:24 |
Not a bad pub this one, close to the Mallaig - Armadale ferry. There's a public bar and a restaurant-type bit. The public bar's a bit small but wasn't terribly busy on either occasion that I was there. Sells the Isle of Skye beers, with Red Cuillin on tap, as well as other bottled ale. There were a couple of foreign lasses working at the bar that seemed friendly enough but didn't understand phrases like 'Bottled beer' and 'Merlot', which isn't great, but it's quite clean, cosy and friendly, if a little on the expensive side. Good range of single malts as well. woodyptom - 21 Jun 2006 21:16 |
