Situated right next to Rainford station, this pub is rather unusual in that it has a set of traffic lights in its car park as the entrance is narrow and pulls out onto a busy junction. Live music appears to be a big thing here and a group were playing in one room. There are however places to escape. 3 George Wright ales were on - Cheeky Pheasant, Up The Junction! and Mild. There was also Robinsons Trooper & Gwynt y Ddraig Happy Daze cider. I quite liked this pub. blue_scrumpy - 7 Jan 2016 21:35 |
Now 5 cask beers and 2 ciders with a wider and inexpensive range of food. Music every night, ranging from rock to bluegrass, even a ukulele night! Special events have included a Star Wars theme day, beer festival with music this weekend,1st and 2nd June. A real community pub, a credit to the family who run it. ChrissG - 28 May 2013 15:08 |

Much improved following re-furb by new owner. Good range of cask beers, reasonably-priced food and regular music nights. Clearly on the up. ChrissG - 31 Aug 2012 17:42 |
Friday, 8th August 2008. Tempted by the promise of a Beer Festival 3 of us visited the Junction - it's right opposite Rainford Station so very easy to find. Sadly we got there at 1 p.m. only to find that the Festival didn't start until 8 p.m. Never the less we enjoyed a couple of quiet pints while all around there was much huffing and puffing in preparation for the evening. Pity we couldn'tstay because all the real ales were being set up for later! doj - 8 Aug 2008 22:21 |
