Been going to this pub for many years, I am not a regular but on the many occassions I have visited, have always had a really good night with no trouble...you get a very warm welcome from the owners & the added bonus is kids are aloud & there is nearly always entertainment on weekends....Think they should bring back The Green River restuarant as I would be a regular....Highly reccomend this pub, ideal in summer as has plenty of parking, with large garden space & weekend BBQ's. kmarsh - 5 Mar 2012 18:08 |
Having been a regular for some years I cant help but find the previous comments untrue!! This pub is a great pub with lovely owners staff & customers! After a refurb at the beginning of this year it's also looking better & fresher then ever....& soon will serve food too with a new chef.... It's very rare for anyone to leave this pub having NOT had a fab night.. Lorraine ( the landlady) is always keen to arrange events to keep every one entertained from small parties to huge fundraising events which are always a hit. The customers are loyal friendly & welcoming and as for drugs & fighting occasionally every pub or drinking venue has to deal with unsavoury characters & this pub is no exception however any sign of trouble these people are quickly removed as the landlady abides by a no tolerance policy..... I would advise anybody to try this pub old! Young! Families! Couples! I promise you won't regret. Mrsdebo2u - 5 Mar 2012 15:56 |
this is a total craphole pub for want of a better word, have been here a few times, and its basically where the local drug dealers and thugs meet up. if u dont like a decent pint, and want a fight... go here. essjaydee - 28 Feb 2006 23:27 |
This pub was really disapointing, an absolute nightmare, the drinks choice was very slim and the atmosphere felt cold.. the locals arent friendly at all ( we were gettin starred out as if they wanted a fight) My recomendation Dont go there! Dan - 14 Oct 2004 12:30 |
