Major building work next door as they develop more flats so very noisy at the moment. hogshead - 26 Jul 2011 11:29 |
I discovered this little gem after a Cambridge stopover 27-28/12/2010. Although a Greene King Pub, the beer was well kept with 3 choices by a landlord who obviously follows the the traditional English pub ideaology to great effect. The staff were polite and entertaining, the bruch was excellent and the home made mulled wine even better. With a VFM juke box and the occasional Live evening gigs this is an ideal place to stay (it also has accomodation) if you wish to get away from the hustle-bustle of the city centre in a relaxing environment. I only wish I wasn't already booked-up for their next gig on 14th Jan! Just turn left at the end of Station Road (instead of right!). I can't wait to return !!!! real_ale_4_ever - 29 Dec 2010 18:54 |
Friendly pub - our second time of visiting (first visited back in April this year). Limited selection of bitters but all kept in good condition. Pub handy for the Travelodge, and excellent full English breakfast served up to 11am weekdays and 4pm weekends!! tonymc - 8 Dec 2009 09:09 |

Not at all a bad pub. Ideal place for lunch for those attending O.U. tutorials at Hills Road. Good range of food and beer. Staff friendly and laid back. Nice little courtyard for the summer. Much better than the bars/restaurants around the corner by the cinema complex Third.Man - 31 Jan 2007 13:21 |
