| I was pleasantly surprised when i recently visited this pub! The staff were extremely welcoming and really went out of their way to help us plan our trip around Longridge. They even cooked our evening meal although food service had finished. The beer was excellant and there was a good choice of 5 cask ales. | Unfortunately in the months following my review the state of this pub has deteriorated. Intrusively loud music now permeates the pub, the sullen barstaff don't seem to care whether you're having a good time or not (respect for customers seems to have gone out the window apart from as a means to milk a cash cow) and the beer has taken a turn for the worse now the main market for trade seems to be the local Kronenbourg-swilling morons in the back room. | My local pub. Theakston's are the main ales (Best Bitter and Mild usually) with two guest beers on. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff and landlady make you feel very welcome. The food is good quality and reasonably priced too. Recommended. ukteq - 11 Mar 2007 19:23 |
