Poor bar service, rude staff. Avoid this pub at all costs. Nixon - 27 Sep 2014 05:21 |
It was OK in here....stopped off for a pint of Trotter ale, which was pretty good. Also on were Adnams old and Twickenham winter cheer, the ubiquitous Heineken as well as at least another Lager (couldn't make out the name from where I was sat!!) Busy lunchtime serving food , but friendly and attentive staff. harlequin - 18 Jan 2014 18:01 |
Well what a chnage in this place... I love it, the staff are always happy and ready to help, this is not quite a wine bar but they have perfected the atmostphere of an upmarket bar with great service and food, along with it quirkyness (quotes throughout the bar!)Its always busy for the afterwork crowd but definately worth a visit. I would recommend The Square Pig to EVERYONE! ann432 - 23 Jan 2010 13:38 |
Adnams Bitter and Broadside were both available along with a premium lager selection and my Guinness was well served by the friendly barman. The lighting is a tad too dim for me and there were too many people being served food from the hatch which was lit up like a beacon in comparison to the rest of the pub. I spotted a couple of screens that Id imagine show the football, but as there was none being played these were off making way for some background music. The pub itself is of a good size with plenty of seating and there is also some covered seating outside along the side of the pub. This place is ok for a pint or two after work, but I wouldnt want to stay all evening as I found it a little bland which was more to do with the clientele than the actual pub. Stumbled upon this place on night out, Looks quite ugly from outside, but quite cool and hip inside. Bitter good quality, could look at the pricing of its wine as quite pricey for what you get.... Missed out on food as kitchen was closed when we visited (4pm monday).... rex_edwards - 6 May 2009 16:42 |
