The food is a bit hit and miss but on the last couple of times Mrs Nottshammer and myself have visited the Broomhill its been ok. The family room has no atmosphere and tables seem to be left uncleared in there. Stella has gone too which is a pain in the arse. NottsHammer - 30 May 2007 21:06 |
The beer is universally cold & tasteless and much the same could be said about the food. For some bizarre reason my family insist on going there for birthdays, etc., highlighting a previously unknown masochistic streak in the genes. Jim_G - 4 Jun 2006 10:29 |
Hit and miss when it comes to food - had really good and extremely bad. Varied clientele & very pleasent staff. Beer is always good and very reasonably priced (as other non town centre pubs should take note!!) If you want a nice, decent, pretty cheap quiet pint, go here. If you want food, it really is hit & miss, although I've never had a bad steak (especially on the 'silly steak weeks') anonymous - 21 May 2006 12:14 |
Council estate pub. Used to be a real "spit and sawdust" place. Now a bit more upmarket and concentrate on meals. Took parents there for mothers day meal and had possibly the worst meal I have ever had. Ruined the day. I could have cooked better myself and I am a bloke!. Others say they have had good meals so perhaps they suffer from bad staff or poor quality control. Who know. Who cares? Seymour Butz - 20 Sep 2004 12:24 |
