| Under the new management (Our visit - May 2007) this is a prime, and very rare now, traditional pub. The warmth of the welcome given to 2 strangers, en-route to Holland with a boat to deliver, was stonking! Real ale is REAL and perfect; the landlords entheusism and hospitality is boundless; food is excellent, and the clientel are sound enough and friendly. If you struggle to remember what a real trad pub is like - try the Flagship. (unless you are in a hurry 'cos you'll never get out of the place!!!) Thanks guv for a blinding nights hospitality.
