| This pub has quite a unique location on Perranporth beach. I believe it claims to be the only pub on a beach in Britain. But I would think the Smugglers in Sunderland could potentially challenge this claim to fame. The Watering Hole was very busy on Bank Holiday Monday lunchtime with most of the indoor tables taken and plenty of people outdoors admiring the windswept beach under the ominous-looking clouds. Beers were all local and nothing unusual - Betty Stogs, Prober Job, Tribute & Doom Bar. But it's the location that makes this pub special. blue_scrumpy - 5 May 2015 22:04 |

| Re-visited this spectacular pub on June 6th 2011 (had been once before two years ago). Still a really good place to visit - good beer and we had a very good lunch - reasonable prices, good food and very quick service. Altogether a very positive visit (and WHAT a view!) but one negative: we left to go on a long walk with the dog. When we came back 2 hours later the remains of our lunch were still on the table. | What a location, what a novelty. Went here Tuesday for a snack and drink. Skinners at its best, we made one mistake. for snacks ordered the meze and tortilla, did not realise they were to share. did not need to eat for the rest of the day.
