Excellent. We'd tried The Crown, to watch the televised football, but their TV's now been moved outside! So we came here to find three large TV screens, choice of viewing, helpful staff providing what you want, and an amazing real ale plus food deal for only £5.99 - where the food can be curry or a 12 inch pizza! Good food and lager, reasonably priced one problem being the 2 young barman seemed a little over familiar with each other which made me feel a little bit uncomfortable stueysals - 15 May 2014 13:44 |
Bar staff were friendly and it seemed to be a haven for staff from the nearby Crown Hotel. The dcor looked as though someone down the years had tried to tart it up, but it was not a very good job. Too much in the way of bright yellow. The Pride was not of the highest quality but I suspect that the normal cliental do not drink a good deal of ale. It had the feel of a lager/football pub to me. Food menu consisted of high fat foods and I think I made a wise choice in avoiding it. Not the worst pub I have even been in, but it was far from being the best. LennyBanter - 7 Aug 2012 22:35 |
