Walked past last night Saturday. usual NEDS. hanging around. Cat fight on the outdoor terrace, but bouncers just standing and laughing. I will never use this pub again until they get in a proper management team. The time was 9.35pm appx. chiefknut - 26 May 2013 15:00 |
sorry to say, but this Wetherspoons has gone downhill, so much so, that when I returned an undrinkable pint of ale, I was told by the female bar staff, "you are talking rubbish, ust drink it". Iasked for the duty manager, to be told by the same staff member, that "she is to busy for amoaning old git, like you". They refused to change my drink or give me a refund, so I went to the other ale pubs nearby. Some TWO MONTHS later, I returned to this pub, to be met by the Assistant Manager who was not availabe per above, to be informed that I was barred, for upsetting the female staff member, who had served me a pint of vinegar. It appears in this Wetherspoons Pub, if you have the balls to complain, then you will, like me "GET BARRED........Avoid this pub at all COSTS chiefknut - 21 Dec 2012 17:19 |
Had a cracking pint of Adnams Broadside. Usually has 3 Premium ales on along with Ruddles & Abbot. xh558 - 1 May 2012 21:29 |
Called in last Sunday. Noted as previous posting, all is well, Tim might like to take some of these staff to train the Perixide blonde male manager at Henglars Circus in Glasgow. The new Fettercain malt was excelent, along with the beam ing smile of the lady in black working the bar. chiefknut - 7 Feb 2011 17:19 |
Both the above reviews reflect the true picture, On my last 3 visits, the ale was in top condition and the staff a total credit to JDW,s and themselves. Not to sure about the new menu, but the malt selection very impressive. FAR superior than south of the border. NOTE to Tim Martin. More Malts please throughout the empire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. chiefknut - 22 May 2010 19:38 |
