After trying the Steps in the nice area of Washington Old Village, we arrived at the Sandpiper which was disappointing. It has the look and feel of a 1970s estate pub, with a characterless interior, devoid of any atmosphere. I'm not sure if it is owned by Greene King. But the beers were Greene King IPA & Old Speckled Hen plus Sandpiper Best Bitter. Nothing to recommend here. blue_scrumpy - 27 May 2013 12:21 |
I have been in this pub on many of occasions and the bar staff seem to get ruder and ruder. It has gone downhill severly in recent years. The food is horrid and the beer is really overpriced. flip - 22 May 2007 11:52 |
This is a great pub for entertainment and good affordable food. They hold fab theme nights and everybody really gets involved. Always a great welcome. They serve serveral real ale anonymous - 3 May 2007 10:18 |
