After being bought from Greene King the pub has undergone a complete & much needed refurb and is now looking superb. Immaculate inside and out, fantastic food and a good selection of ales. Thankfully the pub has been saved from permanent closure so I hope the Villagers of Turvey recognise their good fortune and wholeheartedly support their lovely pub. epicurious - 4 Nov 2014 15:42 |
Apparently about to reopen after a year-long hiatus. Will look forward to a walk in the area and a pint very soon. littledrummerboy - 2 Apr 2014 16:42 |
Popped in here today at nearly 3 pm. Got an excellent pint, a warm welcome and a home cooked meal. Just wish you could move your pub a bit closer to my home so I could walk home. Left a map behind and the guv'nor agreed to post it on to me. Excellent pub, Wonderful service thanks again john henry johnhenry - 24 Feb 2012 19:59 |
At a time when village pubs are struggling, deteriorating and closing down, Green King are to be applauded for injecting new life into this pub, which used to be a favourite some years ago. Many old friends have returned as regulars, and are creating the friendly atmosphere that regulars love. The choice of Landlord and Landlady is a masterstroke, and has made The Three Cranes by far the most welcoming pub in the area. Well done Green King. This has really cheered me up! The pub is situated in a lovely area, and in just a few weeks, the new landlord and landlady- John and Linda have started to make noticeable chances to the pub to get it up and running again! The couple are well known in the area, as they used to run The Red Lion in Stevington, where we first met them, and they assure a friendly warm welcome all year round when we go to visit! The light lunches we had tasted great and it was nice to have a choice of real ales in this pub again, we will certainly back. A great local for a real ale or classic pub grub. boozeyB - 26 Aug 2011 22:49 |
