Went for a meal with some friends last Saturday. Although it was early (6 isn) the place was busy and I was looking forward to a pleasant evening. The company was great, the beer was OK and the steaks were cooked exactly as we'd asked. Unfortunately, we didn't specify that we want them to be served warm and they came out stone cold! Our complaint was met with the offer of an extra portion of chips! I shan't be returning. Quark - 24 Mar 2014 15:40 |
I'll admit it's been a while since I visited The Norwood, I think the previous review is a little unkind - to say the least! There are some Cheltonians that like real pubs with real atmosphere - thank you very much!!! I can't comment on The Norwood though - like I said, not visited for a long time. As Cheltenham is a town for robots it doesn't have any 'pubs' as such but if you ever find yourself in this area then this chain-pub has real ale, a nice big garden and wooden tables and chairs to relieve the monotony of the chrome and leather that furnishes most of the royal spa's pit stops. If you talk to any of the locals though don't forget to let them re-boot before you hear their metallic, microchip modulated response ... But hey guys, hey chics! Enjoy your fantastic evening - wow!
