Clean with a relaxed atmosphere which always seems busy .... This is a better than average Wetherspoon and a good place to visit in Erdington Biffabacon - 3 Oct 2013 21:44 |
Typical Spoons, food reasonable. Very busy on a Saturday afternoon. ppw - 9 Apr 2013 14:03 |
Ah Erdington...it`s a difficult place to describe innit. Having spent all of my formative years living there I`ve frequented most of the pubs at some point..lots now sadly or happily not there anymore. So on a rare excursion back there from the other side of the city where I now live it was interesting to see some of the high street rough holes are still there! I`m surprised though that the comments about the Charlie Hall seem a bit negative. Outside it looks like a warehouse, inside it`s a damn fine looking venue. Large, roomy, dark, light, nooks and crannies, high roof.....The rest (beer, food) are JDW standard..service for a Saturday afternoon was quick, place was clean. And here`s one for ya...it`s possibly the most impressive JDW I`ve ever been in..essential to visit atleast once..and they haven`t paid me to say that! Blastbeat - 21 Sep 2012 10:27 |
Quick, friendly service and a lovely real ale in a nice clean pub. A satisfied customer! ace1973 - 15 Aug 2010 08:43 |
Another typical wetherspoons pub , but a real breath of fresh area for Erdington . It has a bit of a split personality , but when I go there in the evenings a very large customer base can be found inside . Never had a bad Ale here , service can be a bit slow (but only like other wetherspoons) and theres plenty of space to hide inside and an area outside at the back. Dont be put off when the police are outside , its all part of the entertainment and didnt spoil our night last time we went here !! 7 out of 10 , good for the area - probably the best !
