| Seems like a nice pub - the kind of place where you could take your mum and still have some good beer. They had about eight hand-pumps on offer when I was in yesterday (some sort Ember Inns beer festival, I think). They included: Morrissey Fox Blonde; Hancock HB; Yorkshire Terrier; Brains SA; Loddons Ferryman's Gold, Abbot Ale, Greene King IPA. The ones we sampled were either �2 a pint or �2.10 a pint. Compared with what I'm used to, those are cheap prices. It doesn't have Sky TV, if you're bothered. They do show TV sport (the rugby was on BBC when I was in there), but it's in a kind of sectioned off-area and doesn't interfere with the rest of the place. Roodeye - 15 Mar 2009 17:25 |
