I had a good enough night at the pub,but not because of its staff. The fact that socked me was the drink prices-same drinks, different rounds, different amount;spirit with soda or spirit with soft drinks-same price;shots-£3,70????Are you having a laugh??This is robbery, somebody should look into this.Everybody is working hard for their money.Bartenders shouldn't think that the customers are drunk and are not noticing, obviously is not the case.

This used to be a good community local, now full of Essex sorts in their shell suits and bling, waving £50 notes shouting out 'Lager pleaze mate!'.

Sometimes it's a real struggle getting to the bar, and when you do you are confronted by a decent selection of real ales, but ask for any of them and they are 'not on'. They could simply turn the pub clip around if the beer is not on, but apparently it's not company policy.

There is a comfortable restaurant area, but the noise from all the 'ladz' makes it an uncomfirtable experience. Saying that, if you can get served, the beers are of reasonable quality and not too pricey.

Food and drink reasonably priced but they have destroyed a traditional old village pub and turned it into a chain pub clone. Gone is the atmosphere, the old beams have been painted an insipid sort of beige colour and there are three piece suites to sit on. Not somewhere that I would go back to in a hurry and I lived in the village for 27 years.

Fanstastic choice of real ale, staff are a laugh a minute - food, is a bit pricy - the ONLY down side.
