We last visited here 2 years ago, and little has changed. A lovely looking pub with 3 menus to choose from. Well kept and good ale selection. OK, but we won't be back. onslowresident - 4 Sep 2011 12:44 |
Popped back here last month, nice to see the place out of season. Perfect pint of Tribute (though maybe because it was my first in a long time and the first in Cornwall this year!). Friday Fish & Chip special recommended, served up in the paper just like a proper take away, reasonably priced and plenty of it sussexboy - 19 Apr 2010 22:57 |
My partner and I had dinner here and had a lovely time. Very good food with a excellent selection of menu's and the staff where very friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Pubman83 - 2 Mar 2010 19:58 |
Met up with some friends here back in July. Appeared to be well set-up for food but we weren't out of place just having a few drinks in the bar. Nice pint of St Austell Tinners which doesn't seem to be very easily found in a lot of St Austell pubs. I'd definitely be back if in the area again - a very characterful thatched building. sussexboy - 21 Feb 2010 11:08 |
My partner & I planned to stop here for a drink halfway through a long cycle ride on a sunday afternoon. I went inside to place our order, but was sadly spoken to in a very off-hand manor by an elderly gentleman, presumably the landlord. I promptly left and went for a drink elsewhere. Disappointed as always thought it was such a nice pub. smoon - 16 Nov 2009 15:11 |
