| Arrived for booking at 6pm to find that it was closed! Called to check and was told they didn't open on a Sunday until 6pm (despite advertising that food was SERVED from 6pm) When we entered,my 11 year old daughter was asked to move away from the bar where she was choosing her non alcoholic drink. I understand the laws regarding this but was surprised when the landladies grandson then ran behind the bar for a cuddle! I was told that I couldn't have the sauce advertised as they ran out the previous night. A meal was not sent to the table because the chef was chatting at the bar. The toilet broke when my husband sat on it (he's average weight) and there was no rush to fix it. The meals took an hour to reach us but were quite nice,but the burger didn't seem to be home made as advertised. Basically the food was ok but the service was horrific. We won't be going back and I won't be suggesting it to anyone. This was a family occasion which was let down by the staff here. Oh and we had to put different height tables together to all sit together-that's right WE were told to do it ourselves! amyeds - 4 Aug 2013 23:59 |
