| We never got as far as eating here as the smell and hygiene of this place was appalling. Not surprised to see it only has a hygiene rating of 2 out of 5 by Somerset Council for their Scores On The Doors scheme. That shows how little they care about their customers here. | Nothing exciting on the menu, all very limited and boring. My gammon was just about ok but my wifes Fish & Chips were greasy and had strange taste. Would guess that the oil they cook in is old and needs changing. The couple sat near us were uninspired too and they told us it was under new management. They obviously got rid of the previous chef too. We were over charged but didnt realise until we got home. So not a great experience. Lovely beer garden but not enough reason for a return visit. | Awful on every level. Used to be such a good pub for food. Its clearly focussing on drinkers..we were the only diners in the pub. It was noisy and the language was appalling..no excuse. Management around but they were not in control and didnt care. A far cry from the country pub with charm, character and great food last year. PamP - 28 Jun 2014 20:46 |
