What a badly run pub! dagdog - 9 Mar 2014 19:28 |
"Cracking Carvery". Took our friends here for sunday lunch. They are quite choosy about where they eat. We all loved our carvery meals. The roast beef and honeyroast gammon were cooked just right and where lovely and moist. Great selection of vegetables which where no overcooked. The deserts were all very well liked. My girlfriend's rubarb trio and a creme brulee which a sugar crust which was nice and thick. The apple and toffee crumble were huge and we struggled to finish them. Beers on offer were Badger and Sussex. We will definitely be taking our other friends here when they come to stay. Thoroughly recommended. pubgrub76 - 15 Sep 2013 15:49 |
Poor selection of beer, over-priced food in small portions, tatty decor, shunned by even the most loyal local drinkers.... take my advice, travel 3 miles along the valley to the Langton Arms... fartpipe74 - 20 Jan 2011 00:49 |

The pub changed hands in late July 2010 and the fat Yorkshire man has now left the building! The pub is so much better now, clean and warm and now there is a proper chef the food is varied and tasty. Beer was good and a warm welcome. it was nice to see people in the pub again. wynyard - 10 Dec 2010 20:59 |
