| The Red Lion was my first stop in Bottesford on Boxing Day lunchtime. My initial assumption was that it was closed. Signs lead you to a locked door at the rear. But I happened to look inside and saw a handful of other people. Hoping it wasn't a private party, I ventured to the front entrance where the door was open. The pub has 3 rooms - a down-to-earth public bar with a couple of dogs and several loclas, a larger lounge bar and a small interconnecting room. I chose the middle room. It was much busier than I had expected and the barman was rushed off his feet. As a Greene King pub, their IPA was on with Nottingham Extra Pale Ale also available. blue_scrumpy - 28 Dec 2016 21:43 |

| Friendly village pub with two bars, real fire in one, and a small dining section. A fair selection of three real ales on offer from Greene King (two of which are Hardy & Hanson) kept in very good condition. Food is traditional pub grub and seems popular enough with the locals.
