The White Horse has only recently re-opened after a major refurb. It has three cask ales - Tetleys, and two guests. At the time of writing it was Timmy Taylors Golden Best and Black Sheep. New Landlord and Landlady obviously doing it right as pint was next to perfect. Menu updated to simple but homecooked food. Still busy on a Friday and Saturday, but no sign of trouble. A good friendly local. Gloria1504 - 7 May 2013 18:47 |
This should be the best pub in Howden. Its large, slap bang in the centre and looks lovely. However, the manager changes more time that Ken Barlows girlfriends and there is no real ale any more. Its the usual JS Smooth stuff... it gets very busy on a Friday and Sat night with lots of young people.... all looking for a fight or maybe some slap and tickle... I have to say that if this was actually a freehouse it would or could make a fortune.....they do basic food during the day. Enigma35 - 19 Mar 2012 20:44 |
