| Entered here one weekday lunchtime and it was rather quiet except for what appeared to be a couple of regulars propping up the bar. This pub has quite a traditional interior with two separate rooms as you enter the main door. There were three pumps, all with something out of the ordinary to offer, and although I cannot recall the name of the ale I sampled I do recall it was pleasant and in good condition. The pint glass, however, did have some markings on the inside as if it had not been washed properly. I'd also suggest the pub was uncomfortably quiet during my lunch time visit. Presumably there is a bit more atmosphere of an evening. Not sure if food is served - no sign of any menus but there was a table with bottles of ketchup etc. Worth calling in if you're passing, to try the place out. RealAleRobUK - 29 Oct 2015 17:23 |

| A terribly ordinary and therefore extremely boring establishment, in fact so dull your humble narrator dozed peacefully for half an hour before catching his bus home. Ales were mostly of the pale variety, i opted for a half of Tiger from Everards and was charged �1-45, OUCH! Steer clear!! nokegthanks - 28 Apr 2011 13:20 |
| This is the only place where you can drink greenalls bitter and be pleasantly surprised at how well it can taste if kept well by the bar staff! I'm not a regular but occasionally call in if I miss my bus for a quick half. The food menu always looks enticing but upto now haven't sampled any. realalerules1983 - 8 Jun 2010 15:53 |
