Visited on a Saturday lunchtime and had an excellent lunch with a good selection of ales. Will be certain to return next time I'm here. costello - 20 Sep 2015 18:20 |
Pints of Proper Job and Abingdon Bridge went down well on a saturday night one February. The building used to be part of the new sadly defunct Morland's brewery and has pleasing nooks and crannies as well as reputedly good food. The one problem is Abingdon's tendency to attract aggression and the pub's location - a little too near to a notoriously absymal nightclub. BoehmBawerk - 19 Feb 2012 13:03 |
Went in last night and the food stops at 3pm. Went to the Broadface to eat but came back here to drink. Welcoming bar staff and comfortable bar with a real fire. rpf1955 - 15 Mar 2011 17:06 |
Dropped in Saturday lunchtime as it was on our cycle route. Always wary of GK, but this is indeed a good pub. Not cheap, but tried 4 of the six ales on and they were all very good. Friendly bar staff too. Food was fine and well presented. It was quiet when we were there so it was all very comfortable. Keithh - 14 Mar 2011 09:15 |
