A great village pub with well kept ales. Several Harvey pumps and a Thatchers Heritage box on side. A good drinking spot and restaurant to right of pub, although food can be served throughout the bars. On summer Sundays, pizza can be enjoyed on the green overlooking boating lake - most enjoyable. Menu is of high quality, well sourced, offers good vegetarian options and reasonably priced. Obviously busy at peak times, so booking a table advisable. One of the few pubs in existence where just a drink can be enjoyed even during Sunday lunch. Helpful staff make it an enjoyable experience. Polypore - 2 Nov 2016 22:23 |
Nice pub in a lovely setting opposite the boating lake. Big dining room out the back but just a few tables out the front if you want to sit in the sun. Harveys beers on: Sussex best, IPA & Armada. Didn't try the Armada but the best & IPA were both fine. Food was excellent, if a bit pricey with a large & varied menu. alan_From_SAWW - 16 Apr 2014 17:32 |
Came here Saturday lunchtime, for a meal in the restaurant; there were nine of us and we had nine delicious meals - everybody happy! Food was superb, staff very nice and friendly. A bit of a wait for our main courses but the pub was busy and then nine freshly-cooked dinners all came out together. Very reasonable prices too. Looking forward to going back! Came here a couple of weeks ago with my brother. Fine establishment with good tucker and cheerful staff. Harveys served and set in a marvellous location by a lake, although mildly tainted by the not-so-distant ROAR of the M25. Graham_Longsleeves - 23 Aug 2011 22:26 |
Had a very good meal with Harveys Armada; three in fact, and would recommend both whatever you eat. Colourshifter - 8 Aug 2011 21:03 |
