user reviews of Queens Hotel, Carmarthen

please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

The Queens Hotel was a lively place on my Saturday evening visit. It took a while to get served, with somebody ordering multiple pints of Guinness and somebody else ordering double spirits. The two ales were both from Evan Evans - Welsh Pale Ale & Cwrw. I didn't get to explore the whole pub. But there are a couple of very traditional rooms with comfortable seating. There is also an outdoor area at the rear next to the castle. There were a few drunken characters in here. One Irish guy managed to start a little sing-song. But he was struggling to stand up. One of the better pubs in Carmarthen. The best was probably the Friends Arms, which I have requested to be added to the site.

In here last Saturday and would say best pub in the area.
They have six hand pulls split 3/3 in two bars.
The have two clips on each pump so you don't have to ask what is on in the other bar.
I tried an Evan Evans ale and also Jennings Cocker Hoop both @ £2.80 a pint.
Both were well kept and excelent.

A traditional and welcoming pub in Carmarthen town centre. A varying selection of three well kept real ales. Good value pub food at lunchtime.
Please not, the map location currently shown for this place is wildly inaccurate!
It is located at 10 Queen Street, CARMARTHEN, Carmarthenshire.

Reasonably priced pub in central Carmarthen. 3 ales on offer yesterday - Bombadier, Bath Ales Gem and Evan Evans warrior.

Well-located pub serving real ale with very friendly staff. Decent food at a decent price, and a very attractive ivy-clad beer garden in the shadow of the castle. P.S isn't Carmarthen in, well, Carmarthenshire?
