Went here with some friends who have recently moved to the village. Good solid pub grub, pleasant ambiance, friendly staff, a dartboard, community library...and ale in good condition. What's not to like??? scoobybooze2 - 19 Oct 2018 16:33 |
have recently been going to The Old Plough Inn with my family and it has just been taken over by a young couple. They are friendly and the food good and they are so accommodating as we had my hubby's Mum's Wake there and the buffet they put on was 10 out of 10. They had a Harvest Festival yesterday with an Auction for a children's charity and a hog roast and I always feel so relaxed there as they are child friendly (which is a good thing as I have a rather active vocal Grandson aged 23months).I am not a pub goer and am aged 68 but can't wait to go again as they are always putting on events like "Curry evenings 10 eat as much as you like etc. Also you can purchase for a minimal amount a Loyalty Card to receive discount on your drinks etc. In other words a lovely family orientated local pub. Excellent. LizzieLean - 14 Oct 2012 18:00 |
Excellent pub. Food great value, good quality and good selection of well-kept beers. Landlord and staff very friendly. Carvery, Sunday lunch. Guess 'Anonymous' was having a bad day. Horacesays - 26 Apr 2010 17:28 |
I walked from Truro to here, as the buses didn't run, and guess what? It was closed. I needed a drink!! anonymous - 17 Jun 2007 10:22 |
Super value Sunday lunch though a bit limited. Generally only Beef or Lamb so non red meat eaters are out of luck. Can't help thinking they're missing a trick there. dbjmay - 5 Jun 2007 18:06 |
