| Went with the missus and had some lovely food and wine. Nice to see a place where you can choose from more than one house wine... by the glass. Staff were really polite and the place is clean, airy and, well stocked with Hydes bitter(s). Its not so much a pub but it doesn't need to be as there are many 'real' ale houses in the are. Real ale people may slate it as it leans towards 'gasrto' pub. However, i'm sick of drinking in dank places with rude locals in smoke filled rooms..... so the Jolly Thresher is a welcome change. stretfordlad - 22 Jun 2007 15:09 |
