Popped on here last week for dinner. It was truly fantastic The food was amazing, I had the home made burger, it was one of the best I have ever had. My husband had the sirloin. It was really good. Beers on tap were Harvey's, doom bar and ipa. All were going down well with the customers. The wines on offer were reasonably priced. Dessert was great. We will be back. One of the best pubs in the area. Thekempster - 4 Jul 2012 21:10 |

Tried the food there today, excellent choice of dishes, some not available after weekend. The beers great, Harvey's especially. Had a look at a couple of the rooms as hotel recently refurbished, looked great with flat screen tvs etc. will definitely be back again. WindyPeter - 2 Jan 2012 21:31 |
This pub's had its ups and its downs however with new management and new ideas, this is definitely worth checking out. Its smart inside without being pretentious and the staff are friendly and chatty. The beer ranges are good with Harvey's on the go plus the occasional guest beer. The food looks good using local produce however beyond that I can't comment as we haven't eaten there yet. What is outstanding is the entertainment. Sunday night's you'll hear the best jazz outside London - the attract some incredible acts. Thursday nights they have a jam session for the local musicians and on Friday they usually have one of the better local bands doing a set. Music makes this pub alastrp - 21 Oct 2011 13:17 |
