this is possiby the worst bar ever. the staff were rude and unfriendly with serious attitude problems. Me and my friends went in there last week, for some food and a bottle of wine, the staff had no clue about hat they were serving, plonked the food on the table (guessing at which steak was well done or med rare-and they still got it wrong). The whole experience was a load of crap- i wouldn't recommed this to anyone. and if the staff are reading this... learn some manners... ann432 - 23 Jan 2010 13:45 |
I wouldnt know what its like to come in for a drink here. I never did and i never will. I do however know what its like to work in this awful place. the manegement dont aprecite you trying to have a conversation or a bit of banter with the customers. they want you to act like robots toward the stuck up, ponsy clientelle that come in. And the area manager is a joke. i once got a warning for put the chairs up at 12:59 on a friday. The place closes at 1:00! There wasnt anyone even in the place and handn't been for the last 10 minutes. He actually came in and checked the CCTV cameras the day after to clock me for that! I mean seriously how anal can you be. Crap Crap Crap place. taco - 6 Dec 2008 14:34 |
Now ,lets get this straight....I hate All Bar ones But it has to be said, the Guinness in here is very good, and the Barstaff do well in what is a very busy pub. Its a shame you have to put up with the gangs of 50 year old suits coming out with their crap chat lines to uninterested girls young enough to be their off spring.......................And if that wasn't bad enough,i saw a group of youngish blokes drinking something that looked suspiciously like red wine, the Leader of which had a haircut very similiar to Steve Marriot! This is pretty much what youd expect from an ABO with premium lagers aplenty and a token offering of keg pride. I shall not be returning in a hurry. Strongers - 27 Oct 2008 13:05 |
When this first opened a few years ago - it was pretty good so far as All Bar One goes, and good service was always something you could expect from them. But things really have gone downhill - the drinks are fine - but if you are planning to eat you will need to be patient and the food is not as it was at all. The waitresses are quite good at ignoring you, so much so it is easier to go to the bar and order your own food, somehow you feel like you are disturbing their day just by being there. This particular branch is just very badly managed, it doesn't put me off going to the others though, but I won't be going back in this one for some time. studentclaire - 25 Jul 2007 17:19 |
