Smart place (I think it has had a refurb with new owners). Inside is modern and outside has a lovely beer garden. My ale was fine although my only complaint was the manager seemed a little pushy. 7/10 montie49 - 6 Sep 2016 21:54 |
Young, enthusiastic couple of lads behind the bar were knowlegeable about the excellent Otter and locally brewed Red Rock beers served from hand pumps. The willing and eager waiting crew served the most dreadfully overcooked whole sole and dried out dressed crab prepared by the most miserable chef in Devon. I wondered if the landlady was abrupt with everyone or just first time visitors like me but was too afraid to ask. The atmosphere and decor of the pub/restaurant would suit inmates of an old peoples home out for the day. paddymiguel - 14 Aug 2010 09:28 |
Havung tried a number or restaurants locally, we were still looking for that 'special place' Well, we have found it. The atmosphere was relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was cooked to perfection and there was an excellent choice of menu (it took us ages to decide what to have). My husband had a great birthday and we felt really looked after. We will definately eat here again. Great for kids too. Very highly recommended langabel - 9 Mar 2007 23:51 |
Comfortable country inn, with the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever met. Well worth visiting just for the wide range of excellent food at sensible prices. Try it for Sunday Lunch. Ian Swain - 2 Nov 2004 17:49 |
