Under new management since the lockdowns and they have spent a lot of money landscaping the garden and adding a large covered heated seating area. 4 real ales, all in good condition, No food, no frills, this is just a great proper old fashioned comfortable friendly pub villageidoit - 21 Jan 2022 15:44 |
Went to the wheaty last week and there were loads of morris dancers prancing about waving hankies and banging their sticks together. What a laff we had.Great place when there is entertainment on. fozzy123 - 4 Aug 2019 20:59 |
A really lovely pub. We hosted a baby shower there recently and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They supplied a lovely buffet and let us rearrange all the furniture and we didn't even have to tidy up! Everyone had a great time, thanks again Kim and team. Looking forward to visiting this weekend and seeing the new children's play area. kelliemundell - 15 Jun 2015 14:35 |
A great little traditional local that serves 4 well kept local cask ales, plus a good selection of keg beers. The garden is a great little sun trap, with I understand, more improvements on the way. The pub also lays on charity events such as the occasional quiz and music event, has tv sports and caters for private functions...you may also bump into the local Morris Men on occasion! A little off the beaten track but a great local. Woodsta - 28 Apr 2015 11:02 |
