Decent pub which had three real ales on that I could see. Don't know how well they were kept as I was on the soft drinks. Prices were pretty cheap for the area. Had the lunchtime curry. Big portions and well served. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Small beer garden out back which seems to be the domain of the smokers. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. Only drawback I could see was the typical JDW long walk to the upstairs toilets. droggs - 22 Jul 2016 22:49 |

A typical JDW pub on two levels, good atmosphere on most visits, good beer too , although the quality of the food and food service has been variable. It is often very busy at lunchtimes with families, and in the early evening when the offices empty. Midweek after 6-7 o'clock it's usually easy to get a decent seat. Variable food aside, this is worth a visit. budvar_1 - 27 Jul 2006 19:20 |
