what a waste of a beautiful building, it's been ruined. much better whenit was 'the old courthouse pub'. I have been a few times to tokyo but it is so 'dismal' and the atmosphere not nice that it makes youwant to become teetotal and turn to 'gospel' singing. the 'heavy's' on the door are like the MAFFIA, it's all so OTT. This chain of Nightclubs is becoming very 'gimmicky' and must be part of the Disney empire. Bring back individualism to clubs. This is yet another 'supermarket' brand. sokisand - 3 Jul 2009 17:17 |
Now a nightclub spread over 3 floors of this Grade II listed 1820s former Courthouse, 4 Club rooms & 2 great outdoor terraces, real flame BBQ and a vast selection of bottled global beers & spirits, but no longer sells draught mainly due to it now being a nightclub rather than a traditional bar. Recommended however. Great atmosphere & safe feel AaronMellor - 1 Nov 2008 11:38 |

Recently back in Yorkshire, went to see the old court brewhouse, its now a trendy bar called Tokyo. Though I do miss the fact that there was a time when not one piece of furniture matched. Great drinking place though, Huddersfield is changing DKavanagh - 3 Nov 2005 11:27 |
