| First visit to this pub - needed a satnav to locate but worth it. Excellent food - my wife's steak was perfectly cooked as was my monkfish. And 10/10 for the sticky toffee pudding. Good service, friendly staff. Beer was good too - Pride, Doom Bar and Andwells Gold Muddler on. Tried the latter two. My first pint of Muddler was off, but it was replaced swiftly with a Doom bar and I was told when the new cask was on, and it was worth the wait. We will return. metrology_man - 25 Nov 2011 08:29 |
| You have to go 1 street back from the high st to find the pub but well worthwhile to do so. Well run and food led but the layout & vibe is not overly gastro -rather more a relaxed place with good food and drink. Good service too. Seems they have good attention to detail. For the locals if Sunninghill it must be a great civilized local to have. Music & decor both considered and well done- not trad pub sure, but NOT stiff and offputting. | A really lovely pub with a gorgeous beer garden and fantastic food. A bit pricey, but the food is certainly worth a try. Family run (not a brewery run pub) and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be recommending it to friends. dea - 4 Feb 2009 12:57 |
| Now a gastropub/bistro of sorts. The prices are now pretty high even for this area. The food is pretty good but again relatively expensive. The decor is now awful and the music they were playing when I was last in there belonged in lift. jonesor - 22 Sep 2008 14:07 |
