A visit here several years ago was not a good experience. As a group of motorcyclists we hustled out of the parking area because according to the landlord there was not enough space left for cars! Well, we were likely to spend the same amount of money no matter how we got there. Naturally, we have not returned. motorcyclist - 12 Nov 2012 15:18 |
Turning up to this pub on Good Friday proved to be a mistake. In the saloon, music videos were being screened with the volume so loud that conversation was impossible. This was despite the fact that there were no other patrons! A lemonade and a lime & soda came to 2.80, and on attempting to drink these outside we were followed by the barmaid who started to light up a cigarette in our close proximity. Not wanting to start inhaling cancerous fumes we moved on to the 'beer garden' ... Here, several locals were enjoying a barbeque as advertised in the pub. Despite it being a public event, nobody offered us any food or asked if we wanted to participate. We quickly finished our drinks and left. kid_b - 26 Apr 2011 14:41 |
The Fish and Chips on Friday nights and the Sunday Carvery are excellent, we always have to book to get in! Donna and Tony are very welcoming and the new telephone number is 01638 554785 zaymark - 19 Nov 2010 15:22 |
Wanted to take some work colleagues here for a nice lunch - didn't want to turn up on the off chance we'd get a table so tried phoning first to reserve a table. As a pub - what is the point of having and advertising a phone number that only allows outgoing calls! Ridiculous!!!!!!! Needless to say we took our business elsewhere. kdaines - 17 Dec 2009 14:38 |
I visited this pub for dinner last week. The food was great. There was alot of seafood but catered for everyone. I believe they have a new summer menu this week and the sunday lunches are ment to be great. Well worth giving it a try!!! Pamina - 25 Apr 2008 17:20 |
