New managers really let this, once a good sports pub down.
More like a wine bar without nice wine and well the bar staff are so rude and that's where you can find staff to serve you. I have on a number of times had to go looking for staff and when I find them from out having a fag, there's no manners! Stay away as lots of old regulars do now. Best go to the J F Kennedy or town now.

I drink in this pub most weeks and have to report that the average beer/lager is on the expensive side at approx 2.50 a pint. the customers in the front bar do often get rowdy and loud but are harmless enough. The back food bar is pleasant and warm and quite comfortable for a cheap meal it is also a no smoking bar so I am looking forward to July 1st when the management start to eject the smokers from the front bar (this promises to be entertaining) there will be no need for disco's and kareoke when we get to chucking the smokers out.
On average this pub is one of the better ones in the area it just needs stronger management to control the yob element. I shall cary on drinking there.
